Mary Loretta Dillon, PWCS Retired Educational Sign Language Interpreter, Woodbridge High School
Mary Dillon passed away on March 27, 2013 in Fredericksburg, Virginia. She worked in PWCS for 30 years. Mary began working with deaf and hard of hearing students in PWC in 1979, first as a teaching assistant at Marsteller Middle School, and then as an educational sign language interpreter, mostly at Woodbridge High School. Mary cared deeply about her students and her chosen profession, studying subject matter in order to increase her sign vocabulary and developing life long friendships with the students she served. She was a fun loving person who was dedicated to her students and the deaf community.

William “Bill” Teel, former Prince William County Public Schools Teacher and Coach
Bill Teel passed away in Greenville, N.C. on October 27. He taught science in Prince William County Public Schools for over 20 years, mostly at Brentsville Middle-Senior High School and coached the Brentsville varsity softball team to a state championship in 1998. He also assisted with the high school football and wrestling teams and was well-known for a long career as an umpire in youth leagues and men’s softball leagues. He was beloved by his students and had a lasting impact on their lives. He retired about 10 years ago and had lived for the last few years in Greenville with his sister. His family, former friends, colleagues, and students are planning to have a Celebration of Life gathering for Bill at the Brentsville High School Gymnasium on Sunday, November 11 at 4 p.m.
