Eugene Mullinax, Retired Teacher from Gar-Field High School and Marsteller Middle School

Eugene Mullinax of Luray, Virginia, passed away last Friday, January 9. He worked for PWCS for more than 30 years at both Gar-Field High School and Marsteller Middle School as a PE/Health teacher and coach. He was 83 years old. The family is receiving friends at Pierce Funeral home in Manassas, VA on Wednesday January 14, 2015 from 5-8 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at Emmanuel Baptist Church (8006 Centreville Road, Manassas, VA 20111) on January 15, 2015 at 11 a.m. Eugene is the grandfather of Tiffany Rounds, PWCS school psychologist, and Joseph Mullinax, teacher at Stonewall Jackson High School.

Birgitta Kerry, Former Kindergarten Teacher Assistant 
Bristow Run Elementary School

Birgitta Kerry, kindergarten teacher assistant at Bristow Run Elementary Schools from 2005–14, passed away over the December 10–11 weekend after a recent illness. Funeral services were held today, Friday, December 12, at All Saints Catholic Church in Manassas at 11 a.m., with interment at The Place of Peace Columbarium at Saint Benedict Monastery in Bristow, followed by a reception at the Monastery at 12:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Division at MedStar Georgetown Hospital. (Sent in memory of Birgitta Kerry to the attention of Dr. Aziza Shad, with checks made out to “Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology,” MedStar Georgetown University Hospital, Lombardi Cancer Center, 3800 Reservoir Road, N.W., Washington, DC 20007.)

Robert T. Minor, Sr., Retired Custodian from Coles Elementary School

Robert T. Minor, Sr., 82, of Stafford County, passed away Monday, October 27, 2014. Robert retired from Prince William County Public Schools in June 2001, after 34 years of service. Funeral service will be held at Little Forest Baptist Church, Stafford, VA on Friday, October 31.  A viewing will be held at 10 a.m., with the funeral service beginning at 11 a.m.  Ames Funeral Home, Manassas, VA is handling arrangements. Robert is the grandfather of Nicholas Minor of Hylton High School and father-in-law of Judith Minor of Rippon Middle School.

A Life Celebration Service will be held at First Baptist Church of Woodbridge at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 with interment at Quantico National Cemetery at a later date.

Friends and colleagues extend sympathy to the families of Lori Brickley (Beville Middle School bookkeeper) and Cindy Wrenn (retired Signal Hill Elementary School principal) on the peaceful passing of their mother, Janet Wrenn, on Monday, September 29, 2014. Janet was the Media Production Services Office's secretary and graphic artist for 22 years until her retirement in 1997. A life celebration will take place in December.

Mr. Maddox passed away at home on Monday, September 22, 2014. The family is having a private service at the funeral home in Fredericksburg, with a graveside service for friends and family on Saturday, September 27, 2014, 11:00 AM, at Mt. Comfort Cemetery, 6600 South Kings Hwy, Alexandria, VA 22306.
